As International Board Certified Lactation Consultants as well as breastfeeding professionals and volunteers, we have an ethical obligation to provide evidence-based information to families to support their breastfeeding relationship. We encounter and encourage families who need to supplement their baby’s nutrition with something other than milk directly from the mother’s breast. Families have many options and this session explores how peer-to-peer milk sharing fits into the conversation.
